You must be logged on as Administrator (or have Administrator privileges) in order to install Lao Script for Windows (or most other applications) on Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.

After installation, the Lao Add-In for Microsoft Word is installed separately for each user automatically the first time that user starts the LaoKey keyboard mapping. Note that if Microsoft Word is already running when LaoKey starts, the Add-In cannot be installed and initialized. If LaoKey reports an error when installing the Lao Add-In for Microsoft Word, save all Word documents and close Word, then restart LaoKey from the Start Menu.
