As well as the User Settings, LaoScript 8 lets advanced users configure a number of other properties, by using the More settings... button in the User Settings... dialog:
Each advanced user setting is described briefly below.

Notes on using old-coded fonts Support for using old-coded fonts is provided mainly for users with applications that cannot easily be converted to use Unicode fonts. For all new documents and applications, Lao Unicode fonts should be used. Some Add-In functions (e.g. Check Lao Spelling) may not work for all old-code types. Since ZWSP (U+200B) is recognized as a line-breaking codepoint by many more applications than n-dash (the break code used for these fonts by earlier versions of Lao Script for Windows), this code point has been added to the Lao95 and Lao2000 series fonts provided with LaoScript 8 as an alternative. (Selecting this option will not affect the display or use of existing documents.) |
